Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard Review

I finally finished Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard! I actually read this when it came out back in 2015 but since the third book of the series, The King's Cage is coming out next week on Tuesday, I decided to re-read it because I have legit forgot everything that happened.

And I think I liked this book more the second time around!

This book was super fast paced, fun, exciting and I really really enjoyed it! Yes, while this book doesn't have the most unique story line that makes it stand out from the rest of the crowd. However, this book was still awesome!

I really liked the main character Mare and I found her personality to be really relatable! Which is a huge plus because I hate annoying protagonists.

The writing style was good, it wasn't anything unique but the flow was top notch and again, the story was so freaking fast paced!

And can we just take a moment to appreciate Cal. Cal is just bae.

I think the most memorable thing from this book is the huge plot twist at the end. Now, me already having read this book knew that the twist was going to come sooner or later BUT I remember when I read this book the first time I around I was so freaking flipped because the plot twist is so unexpected and it is so freaking bad in a freaking good way.

I do think that it would have been fun to get to know more about the side characters and their super powers because the book did go over them but it would've been more fun to have read in to it in more depth:)

I'm planning on binge reading this whole series because again, King's Cage is coming out soon! I'm going to jump right in to Glass Sword because that cliff hanger was just...sigh. (No words).

I rate this book a 4.5/5 stars! I thought this was an awesome read and if you're looking for a super fast paced and action packed novel, I would definitely recommend this to you.

Thank you for reading my review!
